About Our Keynote Speaker
Gigi Wang is an Industry Fellow & Faculty at UC Berkeley Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology (SCET) where she teaches the Berkeley Method Entrepreneurship Boot-camp course and lectures in SCET's executive innovation and leadership programs. Ms. Wang also runs a consulting firm, MG-Team, LLC, which delivers entrepreneurship and innovation workshops and services for international business development. She works with governments, universities, incubators, and corporations worldwide.
Before starting up MG-Team, Ms. Wang was on the executive teams of several tech startups in wireless, software, hardware, and services across Silicon Valley, Europe, and Asia. As an Internet pioneer in the '90s, she started up Pacific Internet in Singapore (IPO on NASDAQ in 1999) and launched the internationally-renowned TRUSTe Internet privacy program in 1996.
Gigi hold BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering from Stanford University where she was president of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. She has taught or spoken in over 40 countries in the Americas, Europe, Lain America, and Asia.
